Article for Deletion

[edit]

This article was only nominated for deletion, because the sponsor of the nomination has a vendetta against Deadspin.com. The article should be kept, though possibly cleaned up, since the subject is both the author of 2 books, but an immensely popular sports blog, Deadspin. To verify the noteworthiness of the site, please see the article and its discussion page. Zzz345zzZ 03:58, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing for this article

[edit]

While the Afd nomination was in bad faith, there is valid criticism - this article is a mess and not well sourced.

The following links would be good places to start, if users happen to have NYT Select or SI Exclusive memberships:

  • Mallozzi, Vincent M. (January 29, 2006). "BOX SEATS: CHEERING SECTION; Leaving the Press Box for a Room With a View". The New York Times. {{cite news}}: Check date values in: |date= (help)
  • "The Year in the Web: Blogged On". Sports Illustrated. December 13, 2005. {{cite news}}: Check date values in: |date= (help)

[edit]

I'm cleaning up the EL list to remove random articles and interviews, and replacing them with his contributions to various media. Here are the links I am removing:

  • What I think should be changed (include citations):

I'm just trying to update the page that's about me, which is incomplete (it lists four books written rather than five, has the wrong title and date for the most recent one (which has been released), delete redundant information (one book is mentioned in two separate sections) and just do general cleanup. But I trust your judgment on that business. Thank you! Williamfleitchathens (talk) 23:25, 13 July 2021 (UTC)williamfleitchathens[reply]

  • Why it should be changed:

For the above reasons. I am now realizing I answered this section above. Sorry. Thank you! Williamfleitchathens (talk) 23:25, 13 July 2021 (UTC)williamfleitchathens Williamfleitchathens (talk) 23:25, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
